How to create a wilderness and help to save the planet
We have all been put on notice that we have 10 years to reverse the effects of overusing our planet’s resources and to do something about climate change. Many folk have now become passionate recyclers and if you are reading this and want to do more – then you are part of a growing army who want to get involved but simply do not know how, or question whether they have the expertise necessary, or wonder if they have the time.
This may seem a large task but the truth of the matter is that each and very one of us can start to recover the planet. We can create a wilderness where plants and trees exchange co2 for oxygen and achieve a simple yet dynamic change to habitats which will clean our air and encourage wildlife and insects to thrive. The effects of which will indeed help to save the planet.
As a scientist with years of experience in habitat and ecosystem management in his own woodland, a creator of wildlife habitats and a fully qualified arborist with a belief in conservation and regeneration which benefits the next generation and also leaves a legacy of sustainable eco-management – James Wheeler has all the expertise to help you.
Wilderness can be a vast space somewhere else, but it can also be your space. Creating habitat piles and dead hedging along with tree, sapling and canopy management you too can own a little piece of wilderness to benefit you, your family, your community and the wildlife and insects who will inhabit the space. People you don’t know on the other side of your town , your village and the planet will also begin to breathe fresher air. This is a global battle which can begin in your garden, your village park, your town centre and end with a wonderful sense of not only having created a wilderness which helps to save the planet, but which educates and informs each and every one of us that we can do something: we can do a lot.
